2001- Internet-enabled phone with a camera

The mobiles started to become more innovative by introducing internet facilities; As 2G and 3G networks became popular, the mobiles came with internet connections. Thus, users were now able to surf the internet with their sim or mobile network connection. 

The devices did not have touch screens. Instead, most mobiles came with keypads or chunky keys, which one had to use to dial numbers or alphabets. With time, keys became sleeker and better. 

Later in 2005, QWERTY keyboards were included in mobile phones. This keyboard was easier to use and offered much more flexibility. Screenwise, the mobiles had smaller LCD or LED displays which were only 50% part of the whole device. 

In somewhere 2000s, smartphone companies included small and portable cameras inside a phone. Of course, those were simple QVA or VGA cameras. But these models allowed people to capture some memorable moments.

The mobile phone underwent a significant change with Blackberry 5810, which had a proper screen with a QWERTY keyboard and some widgets. The BB5810 also offered better internet facilities and an improved internet surfing experience. Besides that, it also had features like a Calendar, Music for entertainment. Era of iPhone-2007

2010- Android developemenet

In 2010, smartphones underwent another development after the introduction of android. Google introduced android OS in the industry. This allowed other mobile manufacturers also to design smartphones. It somehow ended the monopoly of apple devices and iPhones. As a result, many flagship mobile makers started to use the Android OS in their devices. 

Although bulkier, the smartphones had better facilities. Most of the devices came with 512MB to 1GB RAM, and the storage was also low. Hene, there was a facility to use SD cards to increase the device space. 

As Android OS came into existence, more companies started to design applications for different purposes. The innovation of Apps increased the internet user experience and allowed people to connect with others and do their words quickly. 

With more research and innovation, android devices became smarter than ever. The screen started to become bigger, and now notch-screen and edge-to-edge screens are pretty standard. 

With time the LED and LCD screens also transformed into HD or AMOLED displays. Moreover, the introduction of apps like WhatsApp, Viber etc., allowed people to connect with others by just using an internet connection.
